Anthraquinone substances of senna and buckthorn enhance the motility of the large intestine, thus accelerating bowel discharge.

The tea includes lucerne (Medicaginis sativae herba), hawthorn leaf and flower (Crataegi folium cum flore), balm leaf (Melissae folium) and mistletoe (Visci albi herba).

The tea contains Gymnemae sylvestrae folium, fenugreek seed (Foenugraeci semen), juniper fruit (Myrtilli fructus) and bean-pods (Phaseoli fructus sine semine). The active substances of Gymnemae sylvestris inhibit the taste for sugar in food and the absorption of sugar in the intestines. Fenugreek seeds and bean-pods stimulate pancreatic function and elimination of toxins. Juniper has a beneficial effect on metabolic processes in diabetic persons.
